I'm buying it regardless because I do enjoy the gameplay, but I'd like to think the development team has put more work into gameplay loops and systems rather than just giving a sandbox. I think Mudrunner would really be missing out without at least some of these features. In general, over the past many decades, we've come to know what a game loop should be and what natural gameplay mechanics apply to certain genres of games. This would allow you to "complete" maps based on how far up the tech-tree you've gone, so you can complete an early map by delivering basics at first, then replay it later with some of your bigger vehicles to deliver more appropriate cargo. Work your way up to logs or heavy duty construction equipment as you make money from smaller jobs. Maybe a crappy A or B type to deliver repair points or fuel or something basic. I mean really you could do early work as a basic 4x4 a-type delivering repair points or something. To be fair I'd also like to see people compete for time as they try to rampage through the map as fast as possible regardless of fuel so maybe have two sets of leaderboards, one for fuel and another for time.ģ.) Will this game take a queue from any of the other trucking games/sims where you work up from OWNING shitty trucks to earning money to be able to use bigger ones? They mention for mudrunner 2 there's different kinds of loads you can deliver, so why not have loads that are easier to deliver with some cheap crappy vehicles and work your way up to bigger stuff. I'd love to see videos of people 100%-ing maps with lowest fuel usage just to see those B-types pulling logs through some insane stuff. It seems like such a natural and necessary progression for the engine and game.Ģ.) Also, how are there no leaderboards currently where people compete to red-star maps with lowest fuel usage? The game is the most fun when you're using a crappy truck to do something its barely capable of, not when you're burning 30-40L/min going about your marry way in some monster (unless you fucked up and you need something big to save you). If it snows, you could basically treat it the same way. Spintires: Mudrunner is currently available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One for 29.99 and has a pretty decent rating on steam. so when the release the trainer file this post will be updated with the cheat they offer so stay tuned. Wouldn't it make the most sense to include rain/snow as active weather that raises the water table and just adds thickness to current snow? Like imagine if it rains, all the puddles get deeper and the rivers rise a bit more. As of writing, this article MegaDev Games have listed Spintires: MudRunner as an upcoming file. But I can't see anywhere a mention of weather. 1.) I noticed in the articles that had some pictures of the game that there was the very familiar muddy woodlands, but also now there's snow.
